pictures up!

I'm on Magnetic Island now, and I love it! The view above is what I see when I look out of my hostle room. There are nearby rocks and cliffs, and lots of beaches. I'll stay here a few days.

There's a mountan in the middle of Magnetic Island called Mt Cook. I tried to climb it, but there's no trail. So I spend hours whacking the bushes and battling spider webs to get there. I didn't make it all the way, but I did make it to some pretty cool cliffs where I could see most of the island. After that I had dinner, then found an empty beach. I watched the moon rise over the ocean, then swam in the reflected light. I can't understand why all the other fools at the hostle were drinking cheap bear and watching Auzzie MTV. I had the whole beach to myself.

The next morning I picked some more coconuts and cut them up and offered pieces to everyone. They were all pretty impressed. "Where did you find a coconut?" they asked. Maybe nobody told them that they were on a tropical island. I couldn't deal with the ignorance, so I'm rambling again. Headed toward Mackay.

I met this squishy guy in the mud by Cairns. He doesn't really have a story, just thought I'd include him in my tales.

bye.

I saw one of them squishy things too! But it was about a tenth of the size. I'm jealous!
